Impact

This momentum's too massive for one man
Roll the waves back to turn the tide
Push back, you say, stay with the washed out plan
Push back, you say, and I wish I could have complied

But I only make an impact
When and where I make contact
Just a series of man sized holes
In the waves that break on the shoals
And when the end comes to my days
I'll know that I dented those waves
And for a second the rocks were relieved
On a level that no one yet concieved
I gave the granite a leave of grief
Silly it seems, but it's my belief
That I've left an intanteagble contribution
I did more than regurgitate noise pollution

I'm not remembered now, and I won't be then
But I'll know that my energy was not ill spent
