Merrimack Road Runners Booster Club

The Merrimack Road Runners Booster Club supports the track and cross country programs at Merrimack High School and Merrimack Middle School. Our main fund raiser each year is the Merrimack 5K Sparkler. We provide volunteers for home track meets in the spring; help co-ordinate the Merrimack Invitational Meet in the spring. All our meetings are held in room C117 at Merrimack High School at 6:30pm on the second Wednesday of each month from September through June.

Club Highlights

• 1999/2000 Seasons
• Club was reformed
• October 1999 to March 2000 Club raised over $20,000
• With these funds Club purchased equipment for the track (hurdles, high jump equipment, timing equipment, discus cages, rakes, tape measures, pole vault equipment, etc.)
• April 15 2000 MHS hosts its first home track meet! Host two more meets that spring
• 2000/2001 Seasons
• Spring 2001 MHS hosts two meets
• Purchased 2 pole vaults
• 2001/2002 Seasons
• Purchased Jackets for meet officials
• Purchased zone flags
• Purchased warm ups for boys and girls teams
• Purchased tents
• Hosts several home meets
• Host First Annual Merrimack Invitational
• 2002/2003 Seasons
• Hosted Second Annual Merrimack Invitational - The largest inter scholastic sporting event in the state!
• Host of Class L meet - The best run Class L meet!
• Sponsored Three scholarships to seniors Arica Beisaw recipient of the Joseph Maioriello Scholarship, Peter Chaloner and Allison Mazerella recipients of Roadrunners Booster Club Scholarships.

• Hosted Third Annual Merrimack Invitational
• Hosted Class L meet
• Sponsored Three scholarships to seniors.
• 2004/2005 Seasons
• Boys XC Team placed 9th in New Englands
• Hosted 4th Annual Merrimack Invitational
• Sponsored Three scholarships to seniors.
• Hosted 8th annual Sparkler 5K Roadrace
